These terms and conditions govern the participation in competitions run by Cape Media corporation through their websites, print magazines, print material, email newsletters or Intelligence bulletins, digital publishing and radio stations (herein referred to as Cape Media Corporation) and are binding by any person who enters a competition (herein referred to as You) run by Cape Media Corporation. The same terms and conditions apply in terms of using any websites run by Cape Media Corporation and by using the site you automatically agree to all the the terms and  conditions and all its subsections below.

Competitions

By entering the competition or using the websites, you agree to the terms and conditions of the site and of the competition as they appear below. Failure to do so will result in the disqualification from the competition or forfeiture of the prize.

• Only those users resident in the Republic of South Africa are eligible for entry.

• Competition entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

• Prizes may not be redeemed for cash nor are they transferrable.

• The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• The main prize winner will be notified via email or telephone once the draw has been audited.

• Personal information collected will not be shared with any third party but Cape Media may, from time to time contact you in connection with products and information that it may deem of interest to you.

• Staff members of Cape Media Corporation, their agencies and affiliates as well as their immediate families may not enter.

• If the prize is not claimed within two months of the winner being announced, the winner forfeits the prize.

• Cape Media Corporation warrants the right to cancel

• You will have to forfeit the prize if you have won a prize from Cape Media Corporation in the past three months.

• The official and correct answer is known only to Cape Media Corporation and will only be disclosed once contestants have entered with the official and correct answer. The official and correct answer is adopted by Cape Media Corporation and will only be released when and if someone has submitted an honest entry with the correct answer. By entering you warrant that you had no previous knowledge of that answer.

• It is Your responsibility to make sure that all the personal information that you submit is complete and accurate. Only entries that have been deemed valid by Cape Media Corporation will constitute a fair and complete entry into the competition.

• No entries, for any reason whatsoever, will be considered valid after the closing date.

• Participants enter and accept the prize at their own risk and at no point is Cape Media Corporation responsible for any injury, loss or damage that arises out of the use or participation in the prize that has been offered or through the use and interaction with its sites.

• Cape Media Corporation does also not guarantee or take any responsibility for the quality of the prizes supplied by our affiliates though we do endeavour to run competitions where the prize is of a suitable quality and standard. “Affiliates” here refer to our partners, co-promoters, and sponsors of this or any competition, Cape Media Corporation and their subsidiaries, respective holding companies, current or prospective.

• Cape Media Corporation reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate this or any competition or any aspect thereof for any reasons whatsoever and without notice and you waive andy rights or expectations which you may have against Cape Media Corporation and that you acknowledge that you will have no recourse or claim of any nature against Cape Media Corporation.

• Subject to these terms and conditions you permit Cape Media Corporation to publish your image, name and details with regards to you winning the prize of this or any competition which Cape Media Corporation runs and you indemnify Cape Media Corporation from any liability which may arise out of such publication of your details.

 

Privacy Policy

Cape Media Corporation does not sell or rent personal information about individual members (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to third parties. We do however reserve the right to disclose information regarding our members and usage of the site to each other and, amongst others, business partners and affiliates and other selected third parties. The Cape Media Corporation may disclose personal information in response to a specific request by a law enforcement agency, subpoena, court order, or as required by law.
